Vantem’s panel technology is implemented as an envelope around the exterior walls, floors and ceilings of their modules to provide thermal efficiency. These thermally efficient envelopes make their modules meet the Net Zero energy efficiency designation set by the U.S. Department of Energy, which allows them to qualify for green energy credits and financing incentives. They can immediately identify which modules and linked sub-assemblies are on track for delivery and which are falling behind schedule. By taking corrective action they can avoid costly bottlenecks which result in increased labor costs that drive up overall production costs.
Tracking and Resolving Rework Before Shipment
Another major driver to realizing the cost savings of modular factory assembly is finding and resolving all non-conformances before shipment. Offsight’s Alerts Dashboard and quality tracking and resolution capabilities manage assembly errors that require rework. Operators and inspectors on the floor can document issues at the point of assembly and with Offsight’s Workflow Automation functionality, they can easily save time by accessing pre-filled quality and conformance checklists with minimal number of clicks needed to report an issue.
Operators can access these quality alerts in Offsight where each failed task within a checklist is linked to a unique Alert ID and “OPEN” status. After rework is completed, the Alert ID status changes from “OPEN” to “CLOSED”. Managers can gain better visibility on trending quality issues by using Offsight’s Reports Dashboard where they can create daily, weekly, or monthly reporting views for open and closed alerts. By resolving all alerts in their Alerts Dashboard on a regular basis, Vantem ensures their products leave the factory without costly errors that require servicing and job-site repair.
