CONNEST is redefining modular housing with its Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) approach, combining architectural freedom with the efficiencies of offsite construction. From concept to completion, CONNEST focuses on delivering exceptional, luxury custom-designed homes that set a new standard for prefab construction. Their mission is to harness DfMA to provide sustainable, efficient, and scalable housing solutions without sacrificing design flexibility.
This unique approach requires equally unique tools. Each project at CONNEST demands a custom Bill of Materials (BOM), tailored to the home’s design and manufacturing workflow. Offsight’s Materials & Inventory feature set, an Intelligent MRP built for DfMA, enables CONNEST to define these BOMs by design and apply them directly to specific prefab products. This completely streamlines material and inventory workflows, saving materials managers hours of manual effort while ensuring production efficiency and accuracy at scale.

End-to-End Materials Management, Purpose-Built for Prefab
Offsight’s Materials & Inventory suite enables CONNEST to track inventory seamlessly from the warehouse to the shop floor. Materials can be scanned into the system in real time using Offsight’s mobile apps, while waste and quality issues are instantly recorded to prevent errors from cascading into production. CONNEST’s team can view real-time material quantities and set automatic triggers when stock levels fall below predefined thresholds. At that point, Offsight automatically generates purchase orders from its predefined supplier directory, ensuring materials are replenished without interrupting production.
“With Offsight, we no longer worry about missed inventory or delays from stock-outs. The system does the heavy lifting for us, from tracking to generating POs, and it saves our team countless hours every week.”

Forecasting Materials to Eliminate Bottlenecks
Beyond real-time inventory, CONNEST leverages Offsight AI to forecast material needs well in advance and generate alerts for low inventory. Offsight continuously monitors material consumption as products move through the factory floor via the Live Production Dashboard. As stock levels drop, the system automatically visualizes when specific materials will run out and alerts are created along with purchase orders that factor in supplier lead times and delivery schedules. Materials managers can review and execute these orders before shortages impact the line, eliminating costly downtime and keeping production on pace.
“Offsight forecasting has transformed how we manage materials. Instead of reacting to shortages, we’re always ahead, with full visibility into what’s needed and when. It’s been a game changer for efficiency and cost control.”

Materials Consumption & Waste Analytics
As modules move through assembly stations, operators (or barcode/RFID scans where available) consume items from the picklist inside Offsight. Each consumed item is recorded against the specific module ID and work order so every bolt, board, or fixture is auditable to the module that used it. This allows CONNEST to perform per-module costing and to investigate material-related defects by tracing back to lot/PO.
Offsight compiles the consumption data into module-level reports that feed operations and finance dashboards. This can also be enhanced with Offsight’s real time API integrations to ERPs. CONNEST uses these reports for job costing by module type, variance analysis (planned vs actual consumption), identifying high-waste processes, and forecasting procurement needs for upcoming runs. For enterprise operations CONNEST can aggregate across projects and factories for executive insights.
